A note to our community: In an effort to protect our community we are canceling all other shows of The Unsinkable Molly Brown. All tickets will be refunded for the performances. I took a video recording of the performance last night and will send the link out soon so you can still see the amazing, hard-work of our students. Your tickets will be refunded in full by Brown Paper Tickets, and the funds will post back to your account within 7-10 business days, depending on your financial institution. If you have questions regarding refunds from Brown Paper Tickets, please reach out to them directly. Contact information can be found at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/about/locations. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at future events. Please take care, Holly Marks Denver Academy Theatre Teacher and Director Director's Note: Colorado is full of rich history! I am so happy to show off a musical that shares a glimmer of the life of a strong woman who was a part of Colorado’s legacy. The Unsinkable Molly Brown shares the importance of love and how to not be blinded by money and possessions. As Molly Brown’s father says, if you look around, you might find that, “you’re startin’ out richer than most.” We are surrounded by people who care about us. This musical reminds us to never forget that love is a powerful force that can lead to true happiness.
This art form, called theatre, brings us all together. The audience, cast, and crew are such an important part of what makes theatre special. So to each and everyone of you: I am very grateful and want to express a very warm thank you to our community for your support of Denver Academy Theatre and theatre education. I thank the students for being part of the process of making theatre, and for your bravery and for your passion. It is a privilege to work with you. Congratulations, cast and crew, on a lovely show!
