All Things Theatre

Love to sing, act, dance?  Want to do it all? Experience the many aspects of theatre including choral work (singing), scene work, character creation, commedia dell'arte, costumes, props, set design, stage combat, choreography, stage direction, marketing, choral work (singing), and acting.   We will be visited by guest artists to help us master “All Things Theatre” throughout the quarter.

Theatrical Storytelling

Whether telling scary stories around a campfire, or relaying a funny thing that happened that morning, fantastic storytellers have always been valued. In this class, students will actively create storylines and characters.  We will also explore what makes a great story, including telling stories through song, movement, improv and the written page.  This quarter, our focus will be on “Just So Stories” or stories that creatively explain how things came to be.  Students will have the opportunity to perform to small groups throughout the quarter.
