Director's Note: I am very excited to present a play written by a strong woman, about strong women. Although this play is set in the 1920s, I find Radium Girls holds lessons and truths that apply to today’s world. This play is about standing up for what you believe is right, even when you might be standing alone. Grace shows that even against all odds, each one of us can make the world a better place. D.W. Gregory has written a play that shows the heart breaks, betrayals, losses, and joys of life and how those moments walk hand-in-hand to create a beautiful existence.
This art form, called theatre, brings us all together. The audience, cast, and crew are such an important part of what makes theatre special. So to each and everyone of you: I am very grateful and want to express a very warm thank you to our community for your support of Denver Academy Theatre and theatre education. I thank the students for being part of the process of making theatre, and for your bravery and for your passion. It is a privilege to work with you. Congratulations, cast and crew, on a lovely show! |
